I work with various media, but I feel the deepest connection to traditional painting. In the age of AI and mass-produced images, I want to continue the legacy of the old masters — a form of expression born out of an inner necessity. Painting is about leaving a trace of oneself, just like fulfilling a day or writing a book.
I believe that we discover the truth about ourselves when we overcome our own weaknesses — or even deliberately provoke challenges. Through my painting, I convey a way of thinking, a discharge of personal experience, or finally — a release from certain burdens. Something returns, settles as a feeling, a thought, an impression, until it becomes worthy of being recorded on canvas. It embodies the essence of what we call life — provided we live in a way that gives us something worth saying.
